An experience of a wildfire in Italy stoked awareness of the Bush Fires disasters worldwide. Burning cotton rag paper – whilst contra intuitive – seemed a clear metaphor for this terrible natural disaster and created a pleasing uneven edge, or ‘front line’. Layering the variously coloured prints created a balanced, understandable piece of printmaking.
