WATFORD GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR BOYS
From Gill Woods, Head of Art WGSB
"This was an excellent day!
Sheila had a lovely way with the students - knew names, delivered individual support and was positive and inspiring as a teacher."
MARION - MEMORY PRINT
Just to let you know, the commission was a great success and both mum and dad loved the works. It turned out we had used one of dad's favourite pictures of mum, and when we handed it over (Saturday evening as Sunday was going to be a busy day), mum realised that the image had been taken exactly 40 years ago, probably to the minute, as the photo was taken 2 days after the wedding at an evening drinks do arranged by my nana! Very strange! Another strange thing was that mum said she used to sign her name very much in the style in which you titled the pieces!
Mum and dad seemed keen on framing it and hanging it in the sitting room so it's definitely going up soon! Thank you so much for all your efforts. We all love the work very much.

SANDPAPER SUIT
“In early 2008 I commissioned Sheila de Rosa to produce a limited edition of prints based on my art installation ‘Sandpaper Suit’. My requirements were unusual in that the finished prints were to reflect the ‘sandy’ nature of the original.
Sheila approached the project creatively yet communicated regularly, giving updates, pricing and time-scales, in a business-like manner.
The final edition of photo-etchings were completed in March 2008 on time, at the price quoted and finished to the high professional standard that I required.
I am happy to recommend Sheila’s work to others.
Sincerely,

"I have had the pleasure of knowing Sheila de Rosa for many years and have attended various art exhibitions in her studio.
In early 2011 I commissioned Sheila to produce a limited edition of prints for my daughters 21st birthday. I wanted something unusual for her to remember this special year, and provided Sheila with family photos and pictures of my daughter through her life so far. The final result, entitled ‘Memories’, was a beautiful commemorative piece incorporating many of the photos that captured exactly the essence of what I wanted.
Both my daughter and I were thrilled with the piece and Sheila’s friendly professionalism, and I would happily recommend her to anyone.
Sincerely,
Carol Errington"
